Color Splash: Door Scapes

One of the drawbacks of living in a New York apartment is the lack of an appealing front door or entryway. With the exception of beautiful brownstones, next to everything is left up to the imagination when pondering apartment interiors. I love this collection of images below because they not only incorporate color, but unique touches of plant life in their entries. They all seem to tell a unique story about their dwellers and it is easy to conjure up an image of the interior based on each eye-catching entry. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all play with a little curb appeal?

I like that aspect of NYC – where residences are so interior focused, so there is a lot of mystery! Here in Atlanta, it seems to be all about the house, and there are some beautiful front doors here.
My own door is a vivid green – we took a while to pick the color. I can’t even remember which color we picked – it is a Farrow & Ball shade that is a blue green, and reads as different colors throughout the day.
Just found your blog, and I am looking forward to exploring!

You are right! It is really nice that people are able to focus their energies on their interiors. There is nothing better than feeling like you’re home.
