Perfectly Weathered Wood Chests

This bedroom caught my eye during  a pinning spree the other day, and I found myself going back to it again and again this week. While I do love the green lamp and funky mix of textiles on the bed (although not the particular headboard print…), what I’m really drawn to is the weathered wood chest used as a nightstand. So often I fall in love with furniture that is lacquered, painted turquoise or orange, lucite, or mirrored – but my reality is that I live with a man, who has very traditional taste, and (gasp) has opinions about said furniture. Needless to say, all of my decorating dreams do not come true. But weathered wood is a good compromise for us, and I’ve started trying to incorporate more of it into our decor – nightstands are first on the list.

While lacking some of the intricate detail of the chest above, these chests are all made of gorgeous shades of weathered wood, and have just enough character to keep them from being boring. And they’re at a relatively affordable price point too.
