Party Trick: The Cheese Cake

What’s a girl to do when challenged with preparing a birthday celebration for a non-sweets fan? A cheese cake is what. We’ve blogged about it before, but my inspiration was from none other than the Cheese Shed. While I can hardly compete with their beautifully curated cheese-centric cakes, I think I did pretty well by shifting a traditional cheese board vertical.

By stacking several wheels of cheese on top of one another (tiered sizing is preferred) and zsushing up the layers with herbs, dried figs, and toasted nuts, the result was nothing less than the perfect non-sweet dessert. While I created my cheese “cake” for a birthday, you can surely use this same idea for any special occasion. Happy celebrating!
